Rosemary
Altea - Reading any
of Rosemary Altea's books on spiritual growth can be a window into the essence
of what it means to be a medium. If you are seeking to learn more about the
spiritual world or seeking to develop your own capabilities, then Rosemary
Altea is a perfect read.
The Eagle & The Rose
This is a memoir of Rosemary Altea`s path towards her abilities as a medium. Easily one of my favourite books and one I recommend to my readings often. As a way to discover more about the world of spiritualism this is possibly the best place to start.
Proud Spirit
Rosemary's second book and an international
bestseller poses the question to her readers: Are you a proud spirit?
Rosemary then goes on to explain what she means by this phrase and with
her spirit guide, Grey Eagle, she take readers farther along the path,
exploring opportunities for spiritual growth in our everyday lives.
Give The Gift Of Healing
Rosemary Altea, the internationally renowned medium known to millions
worldwide as "The Voice of the Spirit World," is also the founder of
the Rosemary Altea Association of Healers, a charitable organization
with patients worldwide. In this book package, Rosemary offers an
introduction to spiritual healing, beginning with a personal account of
how she embraced her role as a healer sixteen years ago. Sharing her
belief that sickness and pain can cause the soul to live in a dark
place, Rosemary presents healing techniques designed to give light -
the Seven Steps to Self-Healing. We meet two inspiring patients who
have been treated by Rosemary and her team of healers, and we learn how
we can harness the power of our own thoughts and use color energy
visualizations to achieve inner peace. Also included is a color chart
explaining how each of eight vibrant hues can give us the gift of
healing.
Soul
Signs by Rosemary
Altea (ISBN: 1-59486-229-X) - Ever wonder what the soul truly is? How it works?
Where soul mates come from? And how understanding your soul can bring positive
change into your life? Altea's book Soul Signs takes a turn from her
conversation in The Eagle And The Rose, which was her personal journey
into the spiritual world, towards a book that focuses on theory and spiritual
understanding. Perhaps Altea is on the cusp of a new wave of spiritualism with
this book.
Rita
Rogers - Known in England primarily, because of her
high-profile readings, such as to Princess Diana, Rita Rogers is England's pre-eminent clairvoyant. Rogers has helped in Police Investigations
and has a penchant for connecting children who have passed away, with their
parents who are still grieving their loss. Any of her books are equally as
insightful as Rosemary Altea's.
A New
Earth by Eckhart
Tolle (ISBN: 978-0-452-28996-3) - Who hasn`t heard of this book recently? Oprah's
Book Club has made this a roaring success. Tolle`s book doesn`t expunge any
greater wisdom then other books about spirituality, human potential and growth;
but what Tolle does do is lay the information down in a clear and
straight-forward manner. One can't help but commend Oprah for choosing a book
about growth and how the ripple effect of actions eventually turns into a tidal
wave of change. A timely book that showcases the importance of individuals in
the progress of positive change and the importance of working as a world
community to make those changes successful.
Awakening
Intuition by Mona
Lisa Schulz M.D./P.H.D (ISBN: 0-609-80424-3) - This is simply a must have book.
Mona Lisa Schulz is an incredibly intelligent and vibrant person who has
managed to extend Louise Hay`s theories in You Can Heal Your Life and
garner authentic scientific connections. Awakening Intuition is a book that
will help anyone identify how their health problems are related to emotional
situations that have not been dealt with and have manifested themselves. Schulz
also gives constructive ways to change those patterns and achieve greater physical
health and emotional healing.
Crystal
Energy by Mary
Lambert (ISBN: 13-978-1-4027-2376-6) - A great secondary reference after
reading the Crystal Bible! When you have a good grasp of how crystals can be of
benefit in your life, this additional book on Crystals will give you practical
ways to incorporate the power of crystals in your own life.
Crystal
Therapy by Doreen Virtue
& Judith Lukomski (ISBN:978-1-4019-0467-8) – Similar to The Crystal Bible, Doreen
Virtue’s book on crystals and their powers is a helpful guide and reference
book. Since Doreen Virtue is ‘the Angel Lady’ her perspectives and information on
the uses of crystals makes this book an additional helpful resource to The
Crystal Bible.
Chinese
Astrology by Bettina
Luxon (ISBN: 0-86288-163-3) - By expanding our understanding of spirituality on
many levels, we can learn more about ourselves. Delving into Eastern Philosophies
is a great way to do this. Bettina Luxon's book on Chinese Astrology is a great
beginners book on the subject.
Sun
& Moon Signs by
Julia & Derek Parker (ISBN: 0-7513-0396-8) - Perhaps one of my most useful
books, I constantly reference this for moon and sun signs. You can discover
what your actual moon sign is and then under each sun sign a section is
dedicated to each moon signs influence on that sun sign. A very thorough, and
often accurate look at Sun & Moon Signs.
The
Power Of Birthdays, Stars & Numbers by Saffi Crawford and Geraldine Sullivan (ISBN:
0-345-41819-0) - This would be my second most referenced book, as it is a
source of actual birthday personality information. An uncanny accuracy, this
book has a great deal of constructive information about an individual's birth
sign, right down to the day they were born.
In The
Meantime by Iyanla Vanzant
(ISBN-10: 0684841363) - She is as relevant today as she was a decade ago when
this book first came out. Iyanla Vanzant is a wonderful guide for people on
their paths of growth and personal understanding. She is also a part of the TV
Show Starting Over, which teaches people how to grow and develop through
counselling.
The
Secret by Rhonda
Byrne (ISBN-10: 1582701709) - Of course everyone has possibly heard of The
Secret by now, and it is no longer a secret, but the book and DVD are valuable
resources in helping to understand our own capabilities in shaping our futures.
It is a great way to learn the basics of how our thoughts relate to our
personal growth and future development.
A Touch
Of Wonder by Arthur
Gordon (ISBN-10: 0800756029) - Very similar to Chicken Soup For The Soul, A
Touch Of Wonder is a series of inspiring stories that have been compiled.
Unlike the Chicken Soup series, these stories are longer, and a little
more involved. These stories remind us that we can connect in beautiful ways
with the world and people around us.
Self
Matters by Dr. Phil
(ISBN-10: 074322423X) - He may be an outspoken Texan, but Dr. Phil often has
sound logic that is not wrapped in cotton wool. It is this practical and
pragmatic outlook that makes Dr. Phil so refreshing and straight forward. Self
Matters is the perspective that you need to work on yourself in order to
achieve outward success.
The Five
People You Meet In Heaven by Mitch Albom (ISBN-10: 1401384056) - Even though this book is a work
of fiction. Mitch Albom has wrote a beautiful story about how the heart
grieves, heals and walks forward into the light. It is a beautiful telling of
someone's life from a different perspective. Sometimes a brief meeting with
someone can change your life in ways you never knew and vice versa.
Across
Time & Deathby
Jenny Cockell - This is an amazing true story of a woman who had vivid visions
of her past life as an Irish Mother of a large family of children. Her
promise was that if she could find a way to come back to her children she would,
and she did....
Angels (ISBN 0-8362-3042-6) - This little
pocket book was recently given to me as a gift. It is the perfect little book
to read while you wait aimlessly in a line-up or at the dentist's office. The
book is full of quotes and thoughts on angels, which you can ponder at leisure.
The book comes with a beautiful ribbon bookmark with little angel pendent
attached.
The
Prophet by Khalil
Gibran (ISBN-13: 978-0394404288)- Since it's original publication, The Prophet has never
gone out of circulation. This is a wonderful book of reference set within a
myth of a travelling Prophet who arrives by boat to a small village. The villagers
ask the Prophet questions about goodness, and life skills, and marriage, and
family. The Prophet answers with all the wisdom of history and the world. I
reference this book often for inspiration and guidance.
Life
Makeover by Cheryl Richardson (ISBN: 978-0767908849) – Richardson is a practical mentor to her
readers along the lines of self-help, but with the tutelage of Louise Hay.
The Divine
Matrix: Bridging Time, Space, Miracles, and Belief by Gregg Braden (ISBN: 978-1401905736)
– Braden’s books are difficult to understand, and definitely not for beginners,
but Braden is a powerful writer and has wrapped his head around some authentic
quantum physics; well worth the challenge when the time is right for you.
Women’s
Bodies, Women’s Wisdom: Creating Physical and Emotional Health and Healing by
Christiane Northrup (ISBN: 978-0553384109) – A leading authority on women’s
health, Christiane Northrup has the ability to merge modern medicine with
holistic to provide the greatest possible options for her readers. I know many
women who use this book frequently as a first reference point.
